Our actions

Working towards the development of trade relations between Africa and Europe through the export of African fruit to the EU.
Acting as an interface between African producers and European institutions, to establish funding and support programmes.
Ensuring the quality and sustainability of agro-industrial sectors in Africa from an economic, social, and environmental standpoint.

Our goals

Stabilising the tariff regime applied to banana imports, and maintaining customs duties above EUR 75 per tonne for non-ACP third countries.
Maintaining the safeguard clause for the suspension of preferential treatment for Latin American countries in the event of a sharp increase in banana imports from those countries.
Extending beyond the Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM) the funding of support programmes for the sector to improve its competitiveness and sustainability.
